Lay down base of black thread
Tie in brown hackle fibers a little less than shank length for tail
Tie in brown hackle to palmer over body
Tie in a few stands of Peacock herl and wrap forward about 2/3 of shank; tie off
Palmer brown hackle rib over herl body; tie off
Tie in a pinch of white tipped squirrel tail on top of hook shank for wing
Tie in a few strands of peacock herl behind hook eye; create a herl rope by twisting the herl into a dubbing loop; wrap head and tie off
Wrap a thread head; whip finish; head cement
