The L Spent is one of Leon Links’ favorite flies next to the Dun in riffles. His version of the Dun is called the L Compara; this fly follows the same recipe and process for tying the L Spent. The only difference is that the L Compara’s wings are tied upright when the L Spent has wings that are fly like an airplane wing.
