Gary Dubiel ’s Red-ducer

Saltwater Fly
Tied By Darrell Olson
Hook: Mustad 34007, Size 1
Thread: UTC Red 3/0
Bead:
Body Parts: eyes, tail flash, tail, body
Materials: Gold Large Bead Chain, Copper Kreinik’s Flash, Grizzly Tan-Dyed Rooster Hackle Feathers, Tan Estaz
Notes:
I understand that this pattern fishes best with a floating line on shallow flats. The bead chain eyes gives this pattern an up and down motion that triggers a redfish to bite. The Red-ducer is also productive on spotted sea trout, black drum, sheepshead, and flounder.
The Red-ducer can be tied in many colors like white, tan, red and white, and chartreuse.
