Thread: 140 Denier – Black
Body Parts: eyes, body
Materials: Silver Medium Bead Chain, 5/8” Length of Black Rabbit Strip
Notes:
Try Chartreuse, White, or Your Choice of color.
If not using a Std Nymph Hook, Size 8 add a 1/8” to the shank length.
This fly reminds me of a damsel fly nymph, but you could consider this pattern as a blank slate. In other word why not dub the body or use chenille. Maybe add a hackle just behind the bead chain eyes. Also, you could add some rubber legs. All in all, these added suggests can create several variations to make the fly appear different.
