Body Parts: abdomen, back, back rib
Materials: The Happy Javelina Natural Rabbit Hair (Copper Oxide, Violet, Pearl), 1/8” tan scud flash back, UTC Small Gold wire
Notes:
I did not add lead wraps to this fly, my reason behind this is the hook weight. This hook is a heavy wire compared to a Mustad size 10 Caddis hook.
1. Wrap thread creating a base
2. Tie in the wire
3. tie in the scud back
4- build up the body with thread wraps
5- Split your thread or crest a dubbing loop and add some of The Happy Javelina dubbing and spin it up
6- wrap your dubbing then pull the scud back over it and tie it at the head
7- then wrap the wire 3-5 wraps and tie off then finish the head with head cement.
