Thread: olive (or desired color)
Materials-
rib: fine or medium copper wire
body: fine wool yarn – match thread color
thorax: Peacock herl

Lay a thread base
Tie in wire for rib
Tie in wool (Crewel yarn works well) for body; touching wraps forward to thorax; tie off
Spiral wrap wire rib; tie off; helicopter or clip
Tie in one strand of peacock herl behind eye; optional twist herl into rope with a dubbing loop; touching wraps to behind the eye; tie off
Whip finish; head cement
