This is a redfish fly designed by Lefty Kreh. For the Charleston inshore area the Flats Dredger needs to be more on the darker side as our flats are really murky do to the pluff mud. So most fly fishers prefer darker colors, in most cases a color pattern of black and purple being a top producer. Unfortunately I opted to tie this pattern according to Lefty’s recipe for fly fishing in Southern Florida and the Gulf state.
