Notes:
Put bead on hook and place into the vice. Start thread behind the bead and run back the shank to the start of bend, then attach the pheasant tail (with tail being a little shorter than the shank) then raise up the rest of the pheasant tail and run thread in front of the pheasant all the way to the bead. Insert wire into the bead and tie in all the way to the pheasant tail. Place one wrap of thread behind the pheasant tail over the tail. Place thread back in front of the pheasant tail and build a slight taper and leave the thread just behind the bead. Wrap the pheasant tail forward with touching turns all the way to the bead and tie in, then counter wrap wire palmering forward and tie it in about 1/3 of the shank behind the bead and slightly wrap the thread back over the last wrap of wire. Tie in the 3 strands of peacock herl and run thread up against the bead. Wrap peacock herl with touching turns to the bead and tie in. Whip finish and put a touch of glue onto the bead and let run down onto the thread!
