Lay down thread baseClip out the center fiber of a marabou feather; tie in marabou tail at least hook shank length (control the marabou by wetting it); wrap forward to behind eye; clip extaTake thread back to tail; tie in a black saddle hackle by the tip shinny side out; take thread back to eyeTie in five or so peacock herl and wrap to tail; dab super clue on top of hook shank; touching wrap peacock herl to behind eye (wrap over hanging thread using it to keep the herl together as you wrap); tie off, clip extraPalmer saddle hackle over body wrapping closer behind the eye; tie off, clip extraPull hackle fibers back and wrap head; whip finish; head cement
