About this fly
a Wayne “Buz” Buszek fly using the recipe in The Founding Flies by Mike Valla Buszek originally tied this fly as a caddis, but fished it first during a grasshopper drop. So it became known as a hopper. Buszek used mule deer for the wing; the example is tied with SW Missouri white tail deer
What the Buszek Hopper imitates
- Caddis pupa (emerger)
- Grasshopper (emerger)
- Hopper / cricket (emerger)
Inside the vault every material on this fly opens to its own card, and you can save the fly to your own boxes.
