About this fly
What is a snot fly? Sometimes false albies will only feed on very small bait fish that look like little clear blobs with two tiny black eyes. If that is what the fish are eating, you have a very slim chance of catching on a fly much bigger than that. This snot baitfish ranges anywhere from a half inch to one inch long so be sure to have some clear or translucent white flies.
