Materials: black silk thread, red: wool, dubbing, yarn, yellow: floss, wool, yarn, brown soft hen with black center (furnace)

Lay down thread base
Tie in a length of black silk thread at hook bend
Tie in a length of red yarn and wrap the body or dub the body with red dubbing to 1/3 behind eye
Spiral wrap the black thread over the body; tie off; clip extra
Tie in a length of yellow floss at the eye end of the body and wrap the thorax leaving room for front hackle and head; tie off; clip extra
Tie in the soft hackle by the tip; clip off extra tip; wrap the front hackle; tie off; clip off extra stem
Wrap head; whip finish; head cement
