Bright Fox
Dry Fly Emerger
Tied By Christian Andrews
Hook: as desired for a lacewing
Thread: red
Materials-
tag: gold
tail: two dark fibers (feather, deer, moose, other)
body: yellow fox (or any other yellow dubbing, wool, or floss)
wings: dark hackle tips
throat: yellow fuzz (good question … see illustration from Mary Orvis Marbury)
head: red thread
Notes:
Some liberties have been taken in the attached video. Mary Orvis Marbury says the fly was originally tied with fox fur dubbing but that substitutions were often made. Floss was used in the video. There is no recipe in Mary’s book, so guesses had to be made about all the other ingredients as well.
