Materials-
head: paint jig to match body color
tail: Softball 100% combed cotton yarn in color of choice
body: Sofball 100% combed cotton yarn in color of choice

This is a Bob Gaston fly popularized in SW Missouri by Dennis Stead
Jig, thread, and body yarn are all the some color: yellow, pink, olive, etc
Lay down thread base
Tie in yarn on top of hook shank to bend
Loop the yarn to trim later for the tail; tie in the top of the loop to anchor at bend
Wrap thread back to behind the jig head
Touching wrap the yarn along the hook shank to create body; tie off; whip finish; head cement
Snip the fold in the tail loop to create tail of desired length
Softball 100% combed cotton yarn has a two thread spiral wrap; clip these threads out of the tail (there will be four); tease out the tail
