Notes:

The Barr Emerger is a fly pattern designed to imitate the adult mayfly insect emerging from the nymphal shuck. It is meant to be fished below the surface, anywhere from stream bottom to an inch under the surface. It can be used during dusk and dawn, particularly in the Spring and Fall when trout are keying in on Baetis nymphs.
