Hook: #12 – 16 fine wire
Thread: tan or black
Materials- wing: wood duck flank tail: mix grizzly and brown (or cree) hackle barbs rib: small gold oval tinsel body: hare’s ear fluff hackle: cree or grizzly/ brown mix

Lay down a base of thread
Tie in wing barbs length of shank with tips over the eye leaving room behind eye for hackle and head, wrap under wing to lift barbs, wrap behind wing to secure, clip butt end at an angle
Tie in tail barbs length of shank at hook bend
Tie in gold oval tinsel at bend of hook for rib
Dub a hare’s ear fluff tapered body up to wing
Spiral wrap rib over body, tie off, clip extra
Tie in a sized cree hackle from hook eye to behind wing ( or use a grizzly hackle and a brown hackle), wrap a few turns behind and in front of wing, tie in, tie off, clip extra
Wrap head, whip finish, clip thread, add head cement as desired.
