Materials: Olive select cow elk from Natures Spirit, Olive kimono silk from Magpie Materials, Orange kimono silk for lateral hotspot, Natural selection cow elk from natures spirit, Black 72d thread from Magpie Materials, Nature brown select cdc from Hends, Mixed olive and medium dun select cow elk hair from Natures Spirit, Medium black round rubber legs from Angry rooster fly Co, Black pro grade from Whiting Farms
Notes:
To tie the body, I tied the olive tail in with white thread. At the same time I tied 4 strands of orange silk in on the bottom side at the tail tie in. Switching to olive silk I wrapped the body to create a nice shape. Switched to black thread, tied the over wing in and then pulled the orange silk forward and tied it in. I then made evenly space wraps backwards keeping to the tail, made a few tight turns and whip finished. I then wrapped forward with the same even spacing. Then business as usual with tying in the underwing cdc, I mixed and stacked the two colours of elk for the main wing.
