Materials: Hareline Lead-Free Wire, 0.035, a flounder shaped template for the appropriate hook size, Kiley’s Exo Skin – Rusty Orange Brown, Hareline Hen Cape Grizzly Natural, Kiley’s Exo Skin – Rusty Orange Brown, Living Eyes Ice 4.0mm

There might already be a fly pattern out there in the World Wide Web but this is my variation to challenge me using these patterns. I’m not sure if a redfish or a speckled sea trout will even take this fly. However it might not be a winner for Haddrell’s Point Marsh Madness Fly Tying Challenge, I’m hoping that it might spark some interest into developing something new.

Primarily this fly is used to target saltwater stripers. A search into the World Wide Web also reports that cod, sculpin, bluefish, cobia, groupers, moray eels, skates, stingrays, and sharks will also eat this fly or at least live flounder.
