You don’t see these used in many flies but you will find them used in wet flies for wings and occasionally as a wing case in nymphs.
Derived from the naturally iridescent blue-green quills found in the wing speculum of drake mallards. Often used as the top wing on one of Hemingway’s favorite fishing flies for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Each pack contains 6 lefts and 6 rights.
