Lay down a base of black thread
Tie in a short tail of stiff, brown hackle fibers
Beginning behind the eye, tie in a strip of chamois to the tail
Wrap the chamois forward in touching wraps leaving room for a head behind the eye; tie off and clip extra
Wrap a black head with the tread; whip finish; head cement.
