Notes:
William Faulkner’s Backcountry Bunny is an easy pattern to tie. This pattern in stained water projects a large profile with a lot of movement. In clear water it appears natural enough to fool fish.
The Backcountry Bunny can be tied in a variety of colors and sizes. Color options could be chartreuse, yellow, black and red, white and red, and all variations of browns and oranges. For redfish and snook consider tying in sizes 1 or 1/0. In the backcountry of the everglades during the winter consider a pattern tied on a 2/0 for that monster snook. Consider tying one in black and purple on a size 3/0 for those laid-up tarpon in the spring time.
