Thread: claret silk (red silk if head is dark lacquered)
Body Parts: tag, rib, body, hackle, wing
Materials: gold tinsel, green floss, yellow floss, brown, fine long barbs tilted back, mallard flank
Notes:
Lake Green: a trout fly from Favorite Flies and Their Histories (1892) by Mary Orvis Marbury
The Orvis tiers used red silk but coated the head with a dark lacquer which changed the thread color to more of a claret
