Materials-
body: Grey scud dub+ by Yellowstone fly goods
tail: Chartreuse vernille 2mm with the end burnt
tail: Brown speckled hen saddle, folded
tail flash: Pearl crinkle, midge
rib: Copper wire, brassie
Notes:
I usually run the chenille up to the bead to help keep it in place, clip it off the back of the hook , slightly past the bend and burn it. Carefully…
Grab a hen saddle feather, clip the tip out and fold it across the chenille to “veil” it. Add a tiny bit of flash, then start the copper wire and sun the body. Finish the rib and finish the fly.
This is best when fished under a small midge in higher water, it attracts the fish and usually will also catch fish while the midge does too.
